About this Event

Native-Tulsan Russell Cobb's "The Great Oklahoma Swindle" is an eye-opening expose' of Oklahoma's darkest and strangest history. In the book, Cobb depicts the rise and fall of a vibrant 19th-century Oklahoma Socialist Party, a statewide near-total political takeover by the Klu Klux Klan in 1923, and the rise of far-right preacher Billy James Hargis in the 1950s. Join us as Cobb reads from the book, answers questions about little-known events in Oklahoma history, and provides updates on his latest work. Hosted by Michael Mason. Masks required.
